The Fundamental training consists of 2 parts:

Part 1 - Pre-manual Self-study (35 hours)

Three weeks before the Fundamental Training starts, you will receive the Pre-Manual. The manual is intended for self-study and explains all of the basic concepts of permanent cosmetics, in addition to basic color theory. It is absolutely essential to properly study this book before the Foundation Course can be initiated.

Bloodborne Pathogens Certification (4 hours)

Before becoming a certified Permanent Make-Up Technician, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires one to study and pass a Bloodborne Pathogens certification. The test can be found at http://www.probloodborne.com  This certificate is good for one year and costs $19.95. Please be sure to have your certificate faxed to us prior to your arrival to the Academy.

Part 2 - Foundation Course (65 hours)

This course covers the manual, workbook, and practical "hands-on" model procedures.

During 5 consecutive weekdays, you will learn all basic permanent make-up techniques. Each day you will have additional homework assignments for next day's class.

In order to monitor the quality of your work and to improve your skills, you will complete your beginner training with Hands-on days. In your Fundamental training a total of 2 additional Hands-On days is included in your foundation course.
